The USO serves active duty military and their guests. It also serves retired military personnel if room allows. If a disabled veteran is medically retired, they would receive the same courtesies as a retired service member. There are MANY other organizations that serve all current and past military members.

Why can’t veterans use the USO?
Who Can Use the USO ? Occasionally, veterans or military retirees contact us to tell us they couldn’t get into a USO airport lounge because they didn’t have an active military ID card. As much as we’d like to open our doors to all those who have honorably served, we have limited space and resources.

You can bring a guest in IF you meet the criteria to be inside the USO yourself. I have brought many a guest in, but myself always active duty or reservist. While waiting for my mother’s flight to get in (it was delayed a few hours) I took my daughter to the USO with me.
